South African Pricing for the PS Vita and it’s AR Cards and other Accessories

Well the PS Vita was launched in Japan just before Christmas with a slightly sad response but I think that will change once it releases in the West and here in South Africa. The PS Vita is set for a February 22nd launch. Below we have some of the pricing details for the AR cards, the bundles and more, show jump past the break to see.

The PlayStation Vita will come bundled with six AR Play Cards and a voucher code to download three AR games, all for FREE. Those games are called Table(TM) Football, Cliff Diving and Fireworks.

In other news, we can confirm that the recommended retail prices (RRP) for PS Vita game cards, that’s boxed copies of games that you buy from physical retailers. There is a fantastic line-up for launch available at a range of prices between R349 for exciting new IP’s that utilise the unique feature set of PS Vita and R549 to experience your favourite blockbuster PlayStation games in a brand new way.

Here’s how that breaks down:

  • Uncharted: Golden Abyss – R549
  • Mod Nation Racers: Road Trip – R449
  • Everybody’s Golf – R449
  • Wipeout 2048 – R449
  • Unit 13 – R449
  • Little Deviants – R349
  • Reality Fighters – R349

PS Vita memory cards are available in three sizes and will be priced at the following:

  • 4Gb Memory Card – R199
  • 8Gb Memory Card – R349
  • 16Gb Memory Card – R499

And here are the peripherals that will be available at launch:

  • AC adaptor – R149
  • Portable charger – R499
  • In-ear headset – R299
  • Starter kit – R199

The PlayStation Vita will launch with a 3G and Wi-Fi version at R3599 and R2999 respectively from 22nd February 2012.
