Want to know just how big the PS3 is or the PSN for that matter? Earlier at GDC, SCEA digital distribution manager Pierre Gravereau provided some platform stats, revealing worldwide sales of over 41.6 million PS3 consoles globally since its launch in November 2006. More than 80 percent of consoles are connected to the internet and have spawned 70 million PSN accounts.
Elsewhere, Gravereau said that traffic to the PlayStation Store saw a 60 percent raise in 2010 compared to the previous year, netting Sony a 70 percent raise in revenue. Heres looking to the next year.

Wonder how many of those sales are heavy users now on console no 2/3. If these things didn’t break what would they be sitting on…?
