Killzone 3 to be more Fluidly than Killzone 2

So it looks like Guerrilla Games have been hard at work with Killzone 3 and has been busy flattening out any wrinkles associated with the game’s frame rate and cover system, assuring fans the anticipated sci-fi spectacle will offer a more fluid gameplay experience than its predecessor. That’s according to game director Mathijis de Jonge, who revealed that numerous gamers complained about with Killzone 2 have been ironed out as the dev gears up for the sequel’s launch next month. Remember how great Guerrilla Games are at listening to the community, well they will still listen.
“[While] we were still tweaking and checking framerate, I checked this game back-to-back with Killzone 2 and have to say that it plays so much more fluidly. Also, the adjustments we made to lean-and-peek – you can actually slide into cover now, vault over, brutally melee your enemies – it feels more fluid, stutters less. There’s fewer points of irritation,” he told Edge.
He further added: “[The] thing with Killzone 2 was there were some quite technical problems in the controls, actually, and I think we’ve solved those now.”
“There was a lot of lag… by fixing those issues we’ve lost a bit of that weighty feeling. We’ve tried to maintain that original experience, but if we’d kept it as slow, we’d run into the danger of losing some people, moving too far away from our competitors.”
Elsewhere, studio chief Herman Hulst weighed in on the game’s environments, teasing how fans can expect to see more diversity in terms of the number of locations we’ll get to visit.
“A big improvement over Killzone 2 is that we’re looking to have pretty much a unique setting for each level…,” he said.
“We’re going from the Helghast interpretation of jungle to very Killzone-esque scrapyards, and at the end we go into space. It’s a big departure from Killzone 2, where the first five levels were all urban settings.”
Killzone 3 will be released on February 22, 2011. And if you cannot wait then why not join us in some KZ2 action? From next week I will be reviving the “Killzone Monday night with PS3blog” that we did with Killzone 2. What we basically do is setup a lobby in Killzone, post the password for the day and anyone can join. This will be on Monday nights from about 7:30pm!

In the new version of Kill zone the enemies and heroes are same but the environment is different. All the controls are fantastically improved and easy to use especially aiming, jumping and other movements are exceptionally well.
