A Night Out with EA for Some Real MMA

This past weekend we were invited to spend a night with EA to enjoy a night of some real MMA. To help promote their new comer into the ring MMA game we were taken to an XFC event here in Johannesburg. It was a great night with some 13 fights with three international fighters. It was my first ever live event of witnessing professional fighters in action, guys of different weight classes beating each other to a pulp. The night was filled with an electric vibe as everyone was waiting for the fights to unfold. Beer, snacks and fighting a great night out!

Below are the notes I took during the night and they should give you a rough idea of the different fights.

First fight 20secs cut eye knock out straight punch to face

Second fight 30secs ko guy didn’t know where he was

Third fight 5secs debut fight and tapped out as getting his face pounded in while on the floor.

Fourth fight finally we get past the first round. Some great punches and kicks from both fighters
Round 2 some ground loving action. And a victory lap

Fifth fight some insane kicking action
Round 2 some more kicking action
(My friend is commenting on the guys looks, chicks :S ?!?)

Sixth fight smack talk from the crowd (fighters family?) Guy just went mad and the ref took control and took the guy down, go ref! +1

Seventh fight quick ground work, cocky winner

Eighth fight the pros start and they small 68kg wow lightning mcqeen (fast) round 2 quick again first fight to go into the third. some wicked backflip kick, pity it didn’t connect, only with the floor. Forth round another fly kick and brilliant connection with the floor. Fifth round quick kicks and punches throw down and kick to the face,winner. These little oaks can take a hit.

Ninth fight oooo ball shot, not cricket. Round 3 nothing great starting to look at the crowd like my friends is. Wait some action plenty kicks and the same guy getting kicked to the floor. So many drops to the floor

Tenth fight we may have our first XFC death as its david versus goliath. No death but a ko

First of the international fights now and in the eleventh fight a lot of hugging and some kinky yet disturbing positions

Twelfth fight  boring only some good connects and SA fighter won!

Final feature fight SA vs USA viva SA, wow sa guy is kicking ass, literally. SA guy amazingly got out of a grip to win the fight, sweet.
