Fallout New Vegas patch incoming

It’s no secret these days that buying a game isn’t as simple as it use to be in the old days. Why do you ask? Well back then, games felt more complete then they do now as games these days seem to require internet connections to make games more complete because developers decide that pushing games out onto shelves and fixing the problems later if they feel like it, is better then testing it properly.
The picture child for this seems to be the Fallout series. Yes, yes, I hear you saying that the game has hours upon hours of gameplay and this is to be expected and while I agree, games with this much gameplay was never plagued as much back in the day as they are today. Fortunately though, internet is easier to come by in recent times and isn’t a commodity as it use to be, and developers have confirmed that the patch for New Vegas has been submitted to platform holders and should be with us soon.
That is all great, a fix is on the way. One has to feel sorry though for those who simply don’t have access to the internet for whatever the reason may be. How is it that we all pay the same amount of money and yet there will be those who never get the chance to enjoy it as much as those who have access to what some may see as a luxury? While I applaud fixes and patches, I still believe games with problems such as Fallout, should never even make it onto the shelves with the amounts of problems that require fixing. Source

My thoughts exactly, unfortunately it doesn’t only end with half baked software’s, it also affects the hardware manufactures. Although most firmware updates are very much appreciated and do improve and stabilise the systems. One get the feeling that some things are not an after thought or an improvement, rather stuff they couldn’t finish on time and would fix via a firmware update. These days early adopters of new product have to test and pay premium price for buggy systems
