No Zombies in Black Ops?

There’s been a lot of speculation and excitement about zombies making a return into Treyarch’s latest Call of Duty entry since it’s massive success in World at War. All this came about when it was announced that zombie maps would be included in Black Ops a while back. However, it seems that gamers are set to be disappointed, for now at least.
Speaking to CVG at the Black Ops multiplayer reveal event in LA, Treyarch community man Josh Olin said the developer only has “little things” left to reveal on the multiplayer side.

“We can’t talk for it, but we wouldn’t class Zombies as a ‘little’ feature. This is pretty much it,” Olin told CVG. “There are still some other little things that we haven’t talked about yet but will at a later date, but this is pretty much the whole caboodle.”

So does this mean the end to Zombies? Well in my opinion, no… I don’t think Treyarch are silly enough to leave such a successful part of what they did in the past drop off the map. Most likely, we’ll see the “Eek out as much money from the gamers as we possibly can” route taken by the developers.
What do I mean by that? Well, I think it’s pretty obvious that some developers these days like to leave out specific aspects of a game which are successful just to offer later as DLC, at a cost… And by no means do I believe that that will be forgotten. So odds are we’ll see Zombies in Black Ops, but only as downloadable content. Source
