Gran Turismo 5 to Have 10Gig Optional Install

Gran Turismo 5 creator ,Kazunori Yamauchi, made an announcement via his twitter feed that the game will come with an optional 10gig install. Though the game will only require a 256MB pseudo-install on the PS3 hard drive in order to be playable, he recommends that we free up 10gigs for the smoothest possible gameplay. No mention was given as to how much of an improvement the 10GB installation would offer.
This is the biggest install size for a PS3 game to date. 5gigs usually takes around 25mins to install so this could be double that. What about the guys who still have 40gig hard drives in their machines with other game data they don’t want to remove? Thankfully you can upgrade your Hard drive without voiding the warranty.
