LittleBigPlanet 2 Confirmed with Trailer

WOW! The trailer for this recently confirmed title shows off just how impressive this next game is going to be. I’m literally stumped at what to write from the trailer. The community has made some truly impressive levels with the first game, and now that with the second you can build entire games! Its going to be great seeing what people come up with. WOW! The game surely is bringing more to the first and what’s great is that it’s keeping the play, create, share method that Media Molecule brought to us.

Details of the game and features:

Game Informer, in addition to revealing the cover art for their June issue, stated that their next magazine will contain a “huge, feature article on LittleBigPlanet 2.”  There are a few details we have via a NeoGaf forum member. The sequel will include new tools to allow players to create puzzle games, racing games, role-playing games, and real-time strategy games. Players will also be able to create and edit short films, record their own sound effects, and create their own cut scenes.

Direct control seat’s control scheme is instantly accessible and you can attach it only to the part of the vehicle you want it to control. Example was given about the 8/16-bit remakes/tributes having to use the signature gameplay mechanics of LBP. That is no longer true in LBP2. A creator can place a direct control seat on their own platforming protagonist and complete it with a customized control scheme. Example of the previous was Yoshi’s Island. If a player creates the perfect recreation of the SNES-era jump they can share it with anyone in the community.

More features can be found at the NeoGaf Post and expect more information to be released this week. Also be sure to check out the official website here.

Now check out the trailer below, to see just what is capable with the new tools in LittleBigPlanet 2.
