EA publishing Deathspank and Shank for PSN

This is the first time that EA will be publishing small indie type games for the PSN and Xbox Live, which is great as EA have been on a role releasing some great games. Well it’s not really Electronic Arts but a division called EA Partners. The two games that they will be publishing are Hothead’s DeathSpank and Klei Entertainment’s Shank. EA claims Shank will be available on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and PC mid year, while DeathSpank  will be available on Xbox Live and PSN with no date yet announced.

“Our mission at EA Partners is to work with the best talent across the game industry, and we are thrilled to extend our expertise to the leading creative developers in downloadable indie games,” said EA Partners’ outreach director Jamil Moledina. “DeathSpank is engrossingly fun and hysterically funny … and Shank is an amazing experience.”

The Game Deathspank has been developed under the supervision of Ron Gilbert, best known for creating The Secret of Monkey Island. According to the game’s website it’s “described by top scientists as Monkey Island meets Diablo”. Interesting. Check back here as soon as we know more. News Source here and here.
