Killzone 2 Arc patch, fact or fiction?

It’s just under a year ago when one of the most anticipated FPS games this generation was released, and still there always seems to be some hype surrounding the game. This time, it involves the new Sony motion sensing controller AKA, Arc. It was rumoured by TheSixthAxis earlier that the game will be recieving a patch to allow gameplay via the motion sensing controller when it is released later this year. Since then, this rumour has been strongly denied by SCEE (Sony Computer Entertainment Europe).

“Nope, there’s no truth to that whatsoever,” said an SCEE rep.

However, having heard this, there will still be a lot of questions surrounding the rumour. It’s not uncommon to hear denials about hardware or hardware software tie ins. Heck, remember the denials of the PS3 slim when those first pictures surfaced on the net? This is by no means different. I however am not really concerned or bothered about whether it will be introduced into Killzone 2. What I am concerned about however, is how it will affect how the game is played if it is indeed included. I’m not a fan of motion sensing, but this may just throw the cat amongst the pigeons for FPS enthusiasts around the world. What are your thoughts? Source
