Modern Warfare 2 Hidden Game Modes

So I wrote this article because I am addicted to Moddern Warfare 2 at the moment and was looking through a website for some new information, when I saw a video and a tweet from Robert Bowling (FOURZEROTWO) this morning and my mind clicked about something and thought I would share it with you. Now let me just say this now, this is my assumption of what we could get so mark it as a rumour for now.

It seems that Infinity Ward had a few new multiplayer game modes planned but were unable to get them out in time for release and could possibly released them as DLC for the game.

Modern Warfare 2′s developer console has been hacked, thus allowing modders to access many of the games hidden ‘features’. It seems that MW2 has 4 hidden game modes that didn’t make it in time for the games release.

Arena – Round based capture the flag, with one flag in the middle of the map.

Global Thermonuclear War – There is a nuke in the middle of the map, and both teams have to get to it and set it off.

OneFlag – Just like capture the flag, but one team defends the flag and the other tries to capture it.

VIP – One team tries to get the VIP to the extraction zone, while the other team tries to kill the VIP.

I then saw this tweet from Robert: “We’re planning to add a new hardcore playlist to #MW2 just in time for the holiday break. Look for Hardcore Ricochet: HQ Pro on Wednesday!”

It’s not sure if these modes will reach the console versions or if these are the hardcore mode of which Robert is talking about, or even if these are true but lets hope so.

These new modes seem to be like great could be some hectic serious fun. Oh and below is a video where you can see the Nuke mode in action.
