PSP2 confirmed in next 12 months?

The idea of the PSP2 was already in development since 2008, well, rumour has it at least that it was. Now the PSP is a funny thing, just like the competition, all Sony have done is basically made new shaped models of the originals, nothing too fancy there. This might explain the weak sales of the PSPGO! However, it seems new news has come to light with regards to the next generation PSP with PowerVR SGX543 graphics.

All sounds very interesting, and indeed tempting to say the least. However, you might be wondering what would happen to the previous PSP’s especially the latest GO!? Well according to sources, it seems that Sony will be phasing out the older 3000 model which currently runs alongside the GO!. Thus, if rumours are to be believed, and I’ll say it again “RUMOUR”, we should be seeing the next generation PSP2 in stores alongside it’s bigger brother, in the next 12 months. Heaven knows the PSP needs a good revival. Source
