Dante’s Inferno Baby Murder Trophy Outrages Nannies

The International Nanny Association (INA) is upset and mad at one of Dante’s Inferno’s trophies. The reason being is that the trophy requires you kill/slaughter a yet undetermined number of unbaptized infants, and the trophy is titled Bad Nanny. INA are saying that the game component was “created out of poor taste and bad judgment.”

INA is opposed to video games that promote and encourage players to “kill” babies, even in fantasy play. It is our opinion that this type of play may promote violence towards children. The name of the trophy or achievement, “Bad Nanny,” is offensive to our association in that we strive to promote and educate the public regarding the selfless work nannies do to support families by providing quality in-home child care.”

INA urged its members to email the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB) with concerns and complaints. The ESRB responded, noting that the game has not yet been rated, before adding:

…it should be understood that our job is not to censor potentially tasteless or objectionable content nor dictate to publishers what type of content they may include in their games. ESRB’s role is to objectively evaluate a game’s content and assign age and content ratings that will be helpful in allowing consumers to make informed choices.

Well some people will complain about anything. I’m pretty sure that Electronic Art’s up coming hell-bounding-mature-audience-only rated game is going to have other horrible acts for you to achieve. Didn’t hear anyone complain about the harvesting of little sisters from Bioshock! News Source.

    seriously, its a trophy. thats like saying rappers cant talk about shooting each other. Its not likely that they would actually do it. no one shoots rappers anymore. same with games, unless your a fucked up person, who the hells gunna go kill a baby in real life on purpose? grow up. The game is rated M. so everyone should expect some grusome stuff like this. as a matter of fact. I LIKE IT! its UNIQUE! and like above, Bioshock had harvesting of little sisters. SAME IDEAL THING! DEAL WITH IT!

    people are way too sensitive.
    ive just got the game today and i giggled at the trophy name. i didnt immediately assume that i have to kill babies in real life to unlock the trophy. only the seriously warped would do that and they probably had the idea way before a game trophy suggested it. it is these people that shouldnt be allowed in society not a game or its fictional acheivements.
