New CryEngine 3 Engine Demo Video

crysisThe follow up engine to Crysis was announced today in the form of CryEngine 3. Looking at the video which displays some of the capabilities of the engine, and it’s looking sweet. The engine will run off the PS3 and Xbox 360 which if I’m not mistaken is a first for consoles? Check out the vid below and tell us what you think. News Source

    i’ve been a huge fan of crytek ever since far cry (the original), and super happy they’ve gone console..
    but maybe because the vid is low res, it does not look all that different from the current engine. physic’s seem identical.
    reckon they’ve just optimised it for consoles?

    This engine is really going to bring out the PS3′s graphical abilities,oh wait Killzone 2 already did that and Heavy Rain is on its way! anyway it will be a while before we see a game that runs on this engine but it still looks great,reckon they can do something with this when Killzone 3 gets here!

    Looks great as expected. It would be neat to see what could be done with the TimeSplitters and Haze franchises with this engine since Crytek bought Free Radical (now Crytek UK).

      i have a feeling that the new engine is being developed by crytek’s hungarian studio.
