Level-5 To Be The New Square-Enix

I’m sure any gamer knows the name Square-Enix or Squaresoft. And if you are an rpg fan and you don’t, then shame on you. Square-Enix has always been known as the main RPG aned Top RPG maker for consoles. And mostly known for their work on Sony’s gaming platforms. But the question really begs to be asked. When last has Square-Enix really made a good RPG? Yes, Final Fantasy XII was amazing so are all their other rpg’s. But, they haven’t made nearly as big of an impact in the RPG world since Final Fantasy VII and VIII. We’ve been waiting ages for Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

There is another developing studio that is set to take over the name that Square-Enix carried as top RPG devs. They are known simply as LEVEL-5. They might not be as known in the west as they are in Japan. But, they did create and amazing RPG called Rogue Galaxy on the PS2 and their upcoming PS3 exclsuive RPG White Knight Story is set to steal the crown from Square-Enix and Japan is quite pumped for the game also. Level-5 believes in Quality over Quantity. The studio is only a couple of hundred devs. strong as opposed to Square-Enix’s couple of thousand developers. And I do believe their game will makes a significant impact on the gaming world as Final Fantasy VII did. News Source
