Hands On: Motorstorm Pacific Rift Demo

So I thought I was lucky enough to get a Motorstorm 2 demo invite from Sony and my moment of feeling special and wanted was soon crushed as I soon found out that so, so many, many, many other people received the invite as well. Not only South Africans but a whole bunch from the EU as well as the guys from Qore.

Anyway I still downloaded the 616mb demo which came download slower than a tortoise race! That could have been due to everyone downloading at the same time. Anyway seeing as the will be the first of many hands on and previews to come, I thought I may try something a little different than others. Most people don’t want to read a lot so I am going to break it down into some bullet points between good points and bad points with a quick conclusion at the end. So lets begin, and start with the good points;

Good Points:

1. Motorstorm is back
2. New environment, new tracks and 1 new vehicle type
3. 2 player split screen and online
4. Rumble, ahhhhh
5. Green tropical environment
6. Hectic brutal racing

Bad Points:

1. The demo did not showcase the new water cool down feature
2. Some of the graphics are not 100%, an example is when you start the race your vehicle seems to be floating off the ground. But according to some guys on the neogaf forums its still getting polished.
3. Still pretty hard, took me a few times to place number 1
4. The monster truck is crap around corners and not as fun as i thought it would be. I had more fun with the bikes
5. Nothing really that new to the game

Now keep in mind that these are my thoughts on the demo and not the game itself. Do you guys agree disagree or did I miss something. If you downloaded the demo give us your opinion below in the comments section.
